New York Fashion Week

Just finished, and this show looks more like the Asian home. Asian Designers entering Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung, Alexander Wang and so on have attracted the attention of all the headlines, while the models on the T platform also have many Asian faces.

Mr. Ray A.Smith wrote on Friday's Journal: "we usually see at least two Asian models in a show, but this year there are three or four Asian models in the show of Michael Kors or Jason Wu. 26 Asian models have appeared on the top 10 brands show, which have never been seen before."

About half of the world's luxury consumption comes from China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia.

Asia

The rise and popularity of designers and models are also very easy to understand, but the problem is that although more and more Asian designers are on the stage of New York fashion week, the unique race problem still exists.

"What worries me most is that the rise of these Asian designers and Asian models has become an excuse for racial issues. Some people may say that if we have racial discrimination, why do we give so many awards to Asian designers such as Jason Wu and Alexander Wang?" we can probably find the answer, "said Minh-Ha Pham, a professor from the history and Art Department of Cornell University.

Hollister group opened a flagship store in IFC mall, Seoul, Korea. In order to celebrate the opening ceremony, the brand chose a large number of male models from the United States to create sexy lifesaving images without brand.

But contrary to expectations, these male models took the opportunity to insult customers. Some of them made a dislike of Asian customers in a group photo, and uploaded photos to ridicule these Asian customers.

Despite the fact that the brand was apologized in time and said that these men's practices belonged to personal behavior and had nothing to do with the brand, the image of the brand was damaged. The Koreans continued to boycott the Hollister brand and affected the operation of the parent company Abercrombie&Fitch.

In essence, the Hollister brand also did not have the basic respect for Asians. In South Korea's opening ceremony, Asian models could be chosen entirely. But the brand always insisted on adopting the male model of the United States, and Liu Wen Secret's choice of Chinese model, Victoria, seemed to be just looking at her rising fame in the international market, not the true respect of the Chinese people.

It seems that the Asian market is only a piece of fat for everyone in Europe and the United States. Many fashion brands only seek benefits through propaganda, but they do not respect Asian and Asian markets fundamentally.
