It is a very light and durable substance. It is made up of two different polymers, which are patented.
And one of them is
Waterproof function
Expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (EXPANDED PTFE).
The expanded tetrafluoroethylene is quite similar to the TEFLON polymer in chemical properties, while the expanded polytetrafluoroethylene film contains nine billion small holes in each square inch. These small holes are much smaller than a drop of water but much larger than the vapor molecules.
When water is in liquid, it can not penetrate the structure of GORE-TEX film, and when it becomes water vapor / sweat gas, it can easily evacuate through thin film.
Another polymer that is combined with expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) is an oil and oil resistant substance. It can not only allow water vapor to pass through, but also block the penetration of pollutants such as body fat, cosmetics, pesticides and other oil stains.
Without such a protective layer, the waterproofing capacity will be greatly affected by pollutants.
Recommended cleaning methods:
Wash the machine and add ordinary washing powder (no strong washing powder is recommended). Choose the normal laundry dehydration process.
Dry immediately after dehydration.
If necessary, steam iron can be used at low temperature and pressed lightly with thin cloth.
Do not use hot water or soak.
Do not use bleach and softeners.
Do not dry clean.
Do not dry with a dryer.
Avoid exposure to heavy sunlight.
