EU Customs Checks Shoes, Clothing And Other Counterfeits.
The European Union's 23 day report shows that 64% of the counterfeit goods seized on the border of EU countries last year came from the European Union.
China
73% of counterfeit drugs came from the United Kingdom of Arabia (UAE).
The European Union's Executive Council (EC) customs report said that in 2009, the EU Customs seized 100 million 1 thousand and 800 counterfeit goods at ports and other entry points.
In some projects, counterfeit goods account for at least half of China's counterfeit products, even up to 90%.
These items include
footwear
(90% from China), electronic products (81%).
Clothing category
(72%), cosmetics (47%), and toys (31%).
The report said that cigarettes and tobacco accounted for 35% of all counterfeit products, most of which tried to break through from a large number of Chinese ports, such as Greece and Italy.
EC put forward the above data in the annual report of EU intellectual property law enforcement.
According to sources from the European Union, Semeta, the Commissioner of Taxation, will raise this issue when he visits China next month, Algirdas Semeta.
At the same time, UAE was close to monopoly in drug and condom counterfeiting, and 1 out of every 10 counterfeit products seized were such goods.
