Xinjiang is one of the main cotton producing areas in China, and also an important coal base. In order to increase the stability of supply chain in various industrial chains, Xinjiang constantly optimizes transportation corridors to ensure rapid growth of cotton and coal freight volume, and helps enterprises in all regions to speed up economic development. By the end of June 7th, in the first half of this year, Xinjiang sent a total of 36 million 359 thousand and 100 tons of cotton and coal, up by 112.51% and 19.46% respectively over the same period.

On the morning of June 7th, a train of 41152 freight trains carrying 186 tons of cotton and cotton yarn was sent from Kashgar Railway Station in Xinjiang to Ningbo North Station in Zhejiang and Sanshui west station in Guangdong. This is the largest batch of goods shipped to the mainland after the opening of the cotton and cotton yarn transport line in Kashi, Xinjiang.

Kashi is an important cotton production base in Xinjiang. The cotton yard and special line are built at BaChu Railway Station more than 200 kilometers away from Kashi. In order to fully protect the production and marketing supply of cotton upstream and downstream enterprises, this year, the Xinjiang railway optimizes the transport structure, and develops the Kashi cotton transport special line according to the principle of near shipment, while stabilizing the supply chain of cotton and cotton yarn enterprises, helping enterprises to save logistics costs and provide transportation convenience.

In addition to cotton, the local railway departments also increased the amount of coal transportation, and added two coal transportation links to the main line of the Uzbekistan Railway, so that the transportation loop reached 4, and all automated coal filling was achieved. The daily loading capacity could reach more than 50 columns, which was nearly 6 times higher than the previous efficiency. At the same time, new coal transport sites such as Hetian and Hongling stations in the southern Xinjiang region will be used to give full play to the transportation advantages of Lanxin railway and Hami hongnao railway. On the morning of June 6th, the first train filled with coal transport from Hotan, Xinjiang, was driven from the general railway line of the Wu Zhun railway to Zhangye, Gansu.

As of June 7th, Xinjiang sent a total of 36 million 359 thousand and 100 tons of cotton and coal this year, representing an increase of 112.51% and 19.46% respectively over the same period.
