According to the financial times, the British government has obtained the documents required for customs inspection through the enterprise automatic registration scheme, and has slowed down the pressure of border inspection without the agreement after the European Union's right registration.

In the next two weeks, the tax and Customs Administration (HMRC) and the Ministry of finance will automatically allocate more than 88000 value-added tax registration (VAT-registered) companies to register and identify the economic operators (Eco Nomic Operator Registration and Identification (EORI) number, if not a value-added tax registration company, has to apply by itself. The group number will be used to track companies and trade tariffs with EU Member States.

So far, 72000 companies have completed the EORI registration, but the government is speeding up the registration because it is concerned that there is still no necessary action taken by the enterprises to get rid of Europe without agreement. Earlier this month, the Ministry of finance data showed that there were about 245000 companies traded in the United Kingdom and the European Union, but only 27% completed EORI registration.

The finance minister Sajid Javid asked the Ministry of finance to speed up the plan to help small and medium enterprises to get ready for customs duties and customs inspections in October 31st (2019).

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) said that if the United Kingdom had no agreement with Europe, these preparatory plans would be very important for small and medium enterprises. Mike Cherry, chairman of the SME Association, said that the government welcomes the views and concrete actions of small and medium enterprises, and appeals to the government to prepare an emergency budget to support smaller companies that are below VAT registration to adapt to the new trading environment.

In addition, the government has announced that it will invest 9 million pounds of funds to local authorities with ports and airports in the country to ensure that their staff have enough professional knowledge to handle any situation without agreement. The fund is one of the extra 2 billion 100 million pounds announced by the finance minister Sajid Javid.
