Survey Of Cotton Textile Enterprises In July: The Overall Market Is Flat, And The Yarn Inventory Drops

Respondents: cotton textile enterprises in Xinjiang, Shandong, Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangxi, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Hunan and other provinces and autonomous regions

The textile market did not recover significantly in July, and it was still relatively flat as a whole. The enterprise has great capital pressure, and the follow-up orders are not sufficient, and the operating rate remains at a low level. According to the survey of more than 90 designated textile enterprises across the country by the China Cotton Early Warning Information System, the raw material inventory of textile enterprises has slightly increased, the textile output has slightly increased month on month, and the inventory of yarn and cloth has declined.

1、 Textile output slightly increased month on month

In July, the textile output increased slightly compared with the previous month. According to the survey, the yarn output in July increased by 2.1% month on month and decreased by 4.9% year on year, of which, the pure cotton yarn accounted for 70.1%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points over the previous month; Blended yarn and chemical fiber yarn accounted for 29.9%, a decrease of 0.4 percentage points over the previous month.

The output of cloth increased by 1.9% month on month and decreased by 4.5% year on year, of which, the proportion of pure cotton cloth increased by 0.7 percentage points over the previous month. The yarn sales rate was 71.1%, an increase of 0.3 percentage points over the previous month.

At present, the yarn inventory of textile enterprises is 29.12 days, down 1.15 days from the previous month. The grey cloth inventory was 31.53 days, 2.83 days less than that of the previous month.

2、 Both inner and outer yarn prices fell

The price of cotton yarn inside and outside this month continued to fall. According to the survey, the average price of 32 domestic pure cotton yarns in July was 21736 yuan/ton, down 171 yuan/ton from the previous month, or 0.78%, or 2098 yuan/ton from the same period last year, or 8.8%; The average monthly price of 32 imported pure cotton yarns was 21666 yuan/ton, down 370 yuan/ton or 1.68% from the previous month, and down 2528 yuan/ton or 10.4% from the same period last year. Spinning enterprises are under great financial pressure. They still focus on ex warehouse. The quotation continues to decline, but the decline has eased.

3、 Increase in raw material inventory

Zheng Mian Futures continued to decline in the late part of this month, and some textile enterprises started to replenish their raw material inventory due to low raw material inventory. The raw material inventory increased slightly. As of July 31, the cotton inventory of textile enterprises in the warehouse was 705500 tons, an increase of 17500 tons over the end of last month, and a year-on-year decrease of 89900 tons. Among them, 24% of enterprises reduced their cotton inventory, 34% increased their inventory, and 42% remained basically unchanged.

The structure of cotton used by textile enterprises is relatively stable:

1. Textile enterprises' use of Xinjiang cotton accounted for 83.4% of the total cotton consumption, an increase of 0.7 percentage points over the previous month and 5.84 percentage points over the same period last year, including 21.35% of Xinjiang cotton reserves and 78.65% of Xinjiang cotton reserves this year.

2. The proportion of textile enterprises using local cotton was 10.1%, a decrease of 0.4 percentage points over the previous month. Among them, reserve cotton accounted for 28.49%, and local cotton accounted for 71.51% this year.

3. The proportion of imported cotton used by textile enterprises was 6.5%, a decrease of 4 percentage points over the previous month and a year-on-year decrease of 2.11 percentage points.
