The data showed that in 2014, the investment in fixed assets of Xinjiang textile and garment industry reached 9 billion 615 million yuan, up 76.1% from the previous year.

In 2015, the fixed assets investment of Xinjiang textile and garment industry reached 31 billion 790 million yuan, an increase of 230.6% over the previous year.

In 2016, the investment in fixed assets of Xinjiang's textile and garment industry reached 50 billion yuan, an increase of 119.5%.

With the deepening of the vision and action of "one belt and one road", Xinjiang textile and garment industry is striving to expand the market to the West and seek greater market space.

Data show that in 2016, Xinjiang port exported more than 50 billion yuan of textile and clothing, an increase of more than 50% compared with 2015.

Liang Yong, the Deputy Secretary General of the the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region people's government and director of the leading group of the textile and garment industry, said that this year Xinjiang will reach a "one belt and one road" with Kazakhstan.

After the completion of the cooperation project, Xinjiang will build a high-end garment export channel through Central Asia and Europe.

According to the news released recently by the Urumqi Railway Bureau, in view of the accelerated development of textile and clothing and new energy industries in Xinjiang, the central pport hub of central Europe (Central Asia) will open a special pportation corridor from Urumqi to Turkmenistan Ashkhabad and Uzbekistan Tashkent in the year of Urumqi.

According to the plan, by 2020, Xinjiang will basically build the national important cotton spinning industrial base, the northwest and Silk Road Economic Belt Core clothing clothing production base and the West export distribution center.
