WAL-MART Intends To Force Cross-Border Electricity Providers
WAL-MART China announced in February 25th that it achieved double growth in sales and profits in 2015, and its profit growth was faster than sales growth. At the same time, it announced that it would add 30 new stores, upgrade 60 existing stores, open the first shopping center, expand logistics distribution centers, launch cross-border e-commerce services, upgrade joint credit cards, and build retail universities.
WAL-MART entered the Chinese market 20th anniversary this year. WAL-MART entered the Chinese market in 1996 and opened its first store in Shenzhen.

In terms of e-business, WAL-MART will extend App to more cities this year after launching O2O services in Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Dongguan in 2015.
At the same time, WAL-MART will launch a long term cross-border e-commerce service in 2016, relying on the retail network and procurement resources of 28 countries in the world to develop e-commerce business.
Reporters noted that WAL-MART's annual expansion of new stores in China is about 20 to 30, which is not too slow in the case of low retail sales and the impact of electricity providers. However, compared with the 40 new stores opened in WAL-MART in China in the past few years, its expansion rate has also slowed down.
At present, a lot of supermarket stores are shutting down shops because of the high cost and the impact of electricity suppliers. The pressure of international retail giants in China is not small.
So WAL-MART began to exert strength.

Especially after its acquisition of shop No. 1, the determination to develop e-commerce services is more obvious.
WAL-MART disclosed that in 2015, it opened 23 new stores in the Chinese market, including 22 hypermarkets and 1 Sam member stores.
At the same time, WAL-MART upgraded 60 stores in 2015, and the inside and outside conditions of these stores have been greatly improved, which is particularly obvious for store performance.
By the end of 2015, WAL-MART has realized the growth of its market share in 12 consecutive quarters in the category of fast moving consumer goods.
At the same time, WAL-MART's high-end storage type store Sam member store continues to lead the development of domestic membership format.
Referring to the overall plan for 2016, WAL-MART China has put forward the development goal of "acceleration and surpass" in 2016. In 2016, WAL-MART plans to open about 30 stores in China, including 2 to 3 Sam member stores, and will invest about 400 million yuan for upgrading and Upgrading about 60 stores.

On the basis of the current 20 dry goods and fresh distribution centers covering the whole country, WAL-MART plans to invest and expand the Shenzhen logistics distribution center, adding more than 30 thousand square meters of warehouse area, and will further upgrade the fresh distribution center system.
In addition, WAL-MART will open the first shopping center "Le world" in Zhuhai in 2016. This is the first international standard shopping mall that WAL-MART developed, built and managed in China.
In the process of integrating Shop No. 1, WAL-MART also encountered some problems such as background docking, procurement and so on. Therefore, the integration of shop No. 1 is not fast enough. Maybe the cross-border e-commerce business can help WAL-MART further expand its business layout and better cope with market competition.
