< p > according to the data released by the Malaysia Statistical Bureau, the consumer price index in August of 2013 was 107, up 1.9% from the same period in 2012 (105), which is lower than the 2% expected by the market.

< p > other price increases include restaurants and hotels (up 2.4%), health care (up 1.9%), real estate, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (up 1.8%), furniture, household equipment and daily necessities (up 1.4%), traffic (up 0.6%) and miscellaneous products and services (up 0.3%).

The cumulative consumer price index in Malaysia was 106.5% from 1 to August this year, up 1.7% over the same period of the previous year.
