"Up to the first half of this year, we found that a lot of products were found to be decomposed carcinogenic aromatic amines, that is, banned azo dyes are used on textiles. This is a very serious problem. And judging from the inspection over the past few years, the proportion of detection has slightly improved. In addition to the supervision and spot checks, many of our enterprises have taken the initiative to send their own products when purchasing raw materials.

This shows that enterprises have attracted great attention when choosing dyes for fabric processing.

This is the National Textiles Conference on quality control technology for children's clothing accessories recently held in Guangzhou.

Zhang Yulian, senior engineer of product quality supervision and Inspection Center (Guangzhou) and Guangzhou fiber products testing institute, disclosed the information during the exchange with participants.

Zhang Yulian said that our country began to implement the mandatory standard in 2001, that is, GB184012003 is the second edition. It began to be formally implemented in 2005, and has third versions by 2010. It will be forced to implement the fourth version by August 1st this year.

The latest edition of "GB18401 national textile basic safety technical specification" requires that the azo, which contains a decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine, is prohibited.

It is understood that the current problems of children's clothing in China are mainly caused by carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, banned azo dyes, formaldehyde content exceeding standard, pH value is alkaline, color fastness is poor, fiber content is unworthy, buttons or clothing are not strong enough for sewing, and heavy metals can be extracted.

China economic net reporter through comparison found that in the past, the quality supervision, industry and commerce departments and other departments have repeatedly checked children's clothing inspection report, and found that many brands of children's clothing products have such problems.

According to Zhang Yulian, the AQSIQ has inspected 200 products produced by 200 domestic enterprises. After examination, some items of 26 products failed to meet the standards. The Beijing Consumers Association carried out a comparative test on 63 kinds of children's garments produced or distributed by 47 enterprises in 7 provinces and cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangdong. It was found that 33.3% of the samples had varying degrees of problems; the Quality Supervision Bureau of Shanghai city released the quality reports of children's clothes and shoes, etc., with an unqualified rate of 18.2%.

In the spot checks, some famous brands were also listed in the black list, such as Parker lane, Li Ying Fang, Ying Shi and so on.

"Textile and clothing use azo dyes containing decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amines. In the long term contact with human body, the dye may be absorbed by the skin and spread and accumulate in the human body. Under the condition of normal metabolism of human body, the reduction reaction may occur and the carcinogenic aromatic amines can be decomposed, and the DNA structure of human body can be changed through activation so as to cause human diseases or induce cancer."

Zhang Yulian told reporters.

Zhang Yulian further said that more than 300 kinds of azo dyes were banned internationally, and they might release 24 kinds of carcinogenic aromatic amines.

It is reported that the new national standard to be implemented will increase the detection of azo in clothing. Meanwhile, the new standard also stipulates that the limit value of azo should be banned, not more than 20mg/kg.

Zhang Yulian pointed out that in testing, banned azo exceeded the standard in pocket cloth and linen cloth, because these fabrics were cheap, producers often did not pay attention to the purchase of dyes.

In view of how to put an end to the problem of carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, Zhang Yulian suggested that on the one hand, clothing companies should regularly inspect their fabrics after purchasing fabrics. On the other hand, when clothing manufacturers purchase dyes, they will eliminate the 300 prohibited dyes prescribed internationally.

In addition to dyes, the toxic and side effects of formaldehyde should also attract the attention of enterprises.

Zhang said that in the production process of clothing fabrics, sometimes it is possible to add formaldehyde to auxiliaries in order to achieve the functions of crease prevention, shrinkproof, flame retardancy, or to maintain the durability of printing and dyeing, that is to improve the color fastness or to improve the handle. In particular, some factories use some cheap assistants with high formaldehyde content, which are very harmful to the human body.

In addition, pH value is an indicator of acid-base. The new version of GB18401 stipulates that class a products are infant products, pH value is between 4 and 7.5.

B products are direct contact. If exceeded, it will cause dermatitis, irritant dermatitis, contact dermatitis and so on.

In addition, Zhang Yulian stressed that heavy metal content must also arouse our attention.

Most of the harmful heavy metals have been standardized in the national basic safety technical specification for textiles. Once issued, this standard is mandatory.

Zhang Yulian finally said, in addition to these chemical safety performance factors, children's clothing, structural design, some of the mechanical safety problems, we also need to arouse our children's clothing design and processing enterprises attach great importance to, then we also listed in that picture, like some of the hat live some rope, ah, children's clothing and infant clothing is absolutely not allowed.

Zhang Yulian appeals that there is no small thing for children's clothing. It needs a great deal of attention all over the industry and the whole society, providing a good environment for our later generation for the safety and health of our next generation for our country.
