The latest official statistics show that sales of Russian footwear and other markets reach 3 billion 800 million dollars, and the number of related stores has increased by 18%.

Although more than ten sporting goods manufacturers in Russia have market competitiveness, about 80% of Russia's sporting goods market is owned by imported products.

Russia's minister of sports, tourism and youth policy announced in early June 2009 that in the next few years, Russia plans to build about 100 stadiums, which need a large number of modern equipment.

In addition, the Russian government plans to invest 12 million US dollars this year.

The equipment, 1 billion roubles (about 250 million yuan), is used for the purchase of sports equipment.

But only 10% of the orders were completed by Russian manufacturers and the other 90% were obtained by foreign manufacturers.

At one time, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev believed that expenditure on sports and sports should be given priority in the budget of the Commonwealth of Russia.

Speaking at the all Russian forum called "Russia: sports power", Medvedev said: "I think that even in the financial difficulties, the cost of sports and sports should be privileged in any region's budget."

He pointed out that Russia has built more than 200 stadiums in one year and 170 new ones.

The Minister of tourism and youth policy has made it clear that the government's sports management department will support domestic brands when purchasing, even if the price of domestic goods is several percentage points higher than that of imported goods.

Of course, the prerequisite is that the products produced by Russian manufacturers must meet the high quality standards.

The Russian government hopes to stimulate domestic sports products manufacturers to improve their technological level.
