Guangdong Yangjiang Clothing And Footwear Industry Association Formally Established

After more than 20 years of "single fight", the clothing and footwear enterprises in Yangjiang and Guangdong finally came to a consensus. The chamber of Commerce was formally established on the nine th, and hundreds of clothing and footwear enterprises ended "going all alone" to "joint".

As early as in the 80s of last century, individual clothing, shoes and hat enterprises in Yangjiang, Guangdong springing up everywhere. These enterprises quickly rose with the advantages of low investment cost and flexible operation, and entered the ranks of "getting rich first" in China's reform and opening up.

After entering the twenty-first Century, influenced by the trend of trade globalization, the development of these labor-intensive enterprises is in a rapid decline. "Short and vigorous" has become a disadvantage.

Once a small and flexible clothing shoe and hat enterprise, frustrated in the brutal market competition, some of them were forced to hide in the marketplace and withdraw from the stage of history.

Mr. Liang Sanxing, the sponsor of Yangjiang clothing and footwear industry association, began to make shoes at the age of seventeen, and the shoe industry in Yangjiang left a deep impression on him.

From the end of 80s to the beginning of ninety in the last century, the shoe industry in Yangjiang was in its prime. Hundreds of shoes factories and shoes were sold abroad.

By the middle and late 90s, there was a vicious competition in the industry. The price war and labor war became more and more intense, which directly led to the weakening of competitiveness. Some powerful enterprises were pferred to the development of the Pearl River Delta, and more and more small and medium-sized enterprises were on the decline. The footwear industry in Yangjiang was flourishing.

Yangjiang's clothing industry has also had a distinguished history.

As early as the 50s of last century, the down garment produced by Yangjiang Huaxin garment factory went out of the country and won the "European Clothing Fair Gold Medal". By 90s, Yangjiang's clothing manufacturing industry was springing up all over the country, and the size of the garment factories spread all over the suburbs. The two categories of shirts and trousers had a large share in the domestic market. During that time, many famous brands of clothing were well-known throughout the country, and "Qiao Shi" was one of them.

After careful consideration, hundreds of clothing and footwear enterprises in Yangjiang have been determined to give up their "joint efforts" through repeated painless thinking.

At present, there are more than 200 garment manufacturers in Yangjiang, more than 100 manufacturers of leather shoes, more than 100 manufacturers of hats, and about two hundred thousand skilled workers engaged in shoes and caps production.

According to incomplete statistics, the city's clothing enterprises produce more than 40000 pairs of trousers and casual pants every day. Most of the world's most famous clothing brands are commissioned by Yangjiang enterprises to provide processing and production, providing a precondition for the joint of Yangjiang's clothing shoes and hat industry.

It is understood that since the local civil affairs department formally approved the establishment of the Yangjiang footwear and footwear industry association in September this year, an average of two enterprises have become new members every day, and many of them are in Guangzhou, Dongguan and Zhongshan.

Mr. Liu Xinjiang, President of the chamber of Commerce, said that by the end of this year, more than 90% of the clothing and footwear enterprises in the city will become members of the chamber of Commerce.

Yangjiang's clothing and footwear enterprises will form a fair competition, share resources, and formulate internal self-discipline conventions. They will jointly maintain orderly competition in the industry, plan and build specialized production industrial parks and wholesale circulation markets, and regain the former glory of Yangjiang's shoe and hat industry.
