Guangzhou Supermarket Children Wear Pass Rate Of Only 33%

Yesterday, Guangzhou industrial and commercial bureau announced the 80 kinds.

The pass rate of children's clothing is still less than 70%.

On the eve of "61" children's day, the Guangzhou industrial and Commercial Bureau commissioned a testing agency to conduct a sampling inspection of children's clothing and infant clothing items in the administrative area of Guangzhou Municipality.

Monitoring products are mainly T-shirts, dresses, shorts and other summer children and infant clothing, including high, medium and low grades of children and infant clothing. A total of 80 sales of 30 distribution enterprises were monitored, involving 80 production enterprises.

Tested, qualified

Guangzhou industry and Commerce Bureau responsible person said yesterday, from the monitoring situation in recent years, although children and infant clothing quality monitoring pass rate gradually increased, the overall pass rate increased from 38% in 2008 to 63.8% in 2011, the physical quality qualification rate has been hovering between 60%-70%.

From the point of view of distribution units, the proportion of shopping malls is the highest, exceeding 60% of the total sample, followed by professional market, accounting for 25% of the total sample, and a small number of samples are extracted from supermarkets, franchised stores and other business units.

However, from the test results, the qualified rates of shopping malls and other business units were 83% and 100% respectively.

2 products detected carcinogens exceeded

Reporters learned that the detection of unqualified children's clothing, banned decomposable aromatic amine dyes, formaldehyde content and pH values have varying degrees of disqualification; color fastness does not meet the requirements of standards, fiber content is inconsistent with the name and the product logo does not meet the standard requirements of the problem still exists.

Guangzhou industrial and commercial bureau has exposed 25 kinds of unqualified children's clothing list. Among them, Beijing's pamby children clothing and Clothing Co., Ltd. produced naturally seven pieces of trousers (specifications 95/47 100/50 110/50 120/53), and the girls' dresses (specification 130140150160) of the JJLKIDS quarter music produced by the Shishi Tian Tian garments Industrial Co., Ltd., all of which were found to be decomposed aromatic amine dyes, and were severely disqualified.

Experts pointed out that the national basic safety technical specification for textile products stipulates that the carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes are prohibited, and if the clothes containing such dyes are in the long-term contact with human body, if the dye is absorbed by the skin, it will spread in the human body. Under the biochemical reaction conditions of the normal metabolism of human body, the carcinogenic aromatic amines can be decomposed by the reductive reaction, and the structure of DNA can be changed through the activation of human body, causing human diseases and inducing cancer, and the incubation period can be as long as 20 years.

For commodities which are judged to be of unqualified quality, the Municipal Industrial and commercial bureau has deployed various sub branches to check and seal up the storage of the branches, and put the case to the operators who sell the unqualified goods, and increase the penalties for the operators who have repeatedly sold the unqualified products. Meanwhile, they must supervise the distribution units to strictly implement the stock inspection record system and do a good job of returning or replacing the unqualified products.

The next step will be to increase the inspection of sales outlets for children and infant clothing, especially for shopping malls, supermarkets and wholesale markets, which are more prominent in the sampling survey.
