The achievements made during the "11th Five-Year" period also objectively analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of textile discipline.

Cheng pointed out in his report that during the "12th Five-Year" period, the goal of textile discipline construction was to create five star disciplines, namely, the first level disciplines, doctoral points, first level disciplines, national key disciplines, postdoctoral mobile stations, state-level key laboratories, national engineering centers / engineering laboratories.
