Hongkong Media Focuses On Shenzhen Expo

A reporter from China magazine asked a series of questions to the head of the Organizing Committee of the Expo.

In August 13th, journalists from Hongkong media, such as Ta Kung Pao, Wen Wei Po, Hongkong business daily, Economic Herald, lookout China magazine, conducted a group interview with the Secretary General of Shenzhen logistics and Supply Chain Management Association.

The interview involves cross-border logistics, Shenzhen and Hong Kong logistics cooperation, Expo and other themes.

In 2010, China (Shenzhen) logistics and pportation Expo will be held in Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on October 15th -17. The Expo will be jointly sponsored by the Ministry of pport and the Shenzhen people's government. The total exhibition area will reach 52500 square meters, ranking first in the Asian comprehensive logistics exhibition, ranking second in comparison with the world's similar exhibitions.

Hong Kong media reporters were amazed at the scale of the fair, and at the same time they were particularly interested in the level of participating enterprises.

The organizers of the organizing committee carry out the bitmap and introduce the exhibitors to the reporters conscientiously.

At present, the domestic and foreign enterprises that have participated in the exhibition include: Express giant UPS, Hamburg, Germany, Oakland port of the United States, Antwerp port of Belgium, COSCO, Da Fei steamship, Yantian port, China Merchants Group, COFCO, and China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Air China Airport Enterprises.

Previously, local media such as Phoenix media, Ta Kung Pao and other Hongkong media and Nanfang Daily, Guangzhou daily, Shenzhen business daily and other local media have reported on the Expo.

Shenzhen and Hongkong "one city, two systems". Last year, Shenzhen promulgated the "comprehensive reform supporting plan". It proposed that Hong Kong and Hong Kong jointly build "logistics center". Logistics cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong is the general trend.

But at present, logistics cooperation in Shenzhen and Hong Kong is mostly manifested in infrastructure. The investment in port is the largest in Hong Kong, but deep cooperation in the whole industrial system is relatively small.

Hong Kong media reporters hope that Shenzhen and Hong Kong can strengthen cooperation and ask the Secretary General Zheng Yanling, Secretary General of the association, on the obstacles in the two sides' cooperation.

Next, cooperation should be expanded from the central government level to the policy space and system space of Shenzhen Hong Kong cooperation development.
