According to the survey of key member enterprises by the Association, the prosperity index of China's industrial textile industry from January to November 2024 is 68.4. After the low tide of 2023, enterprises are generally satisfied with the business situation in 2024.

　　 According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to November 2024, the growth rate of industrial added value of enterprises above designated size in the industrial textile industry exceeded the industrial average, and the industry's operating income and total profit increased by 5.5% and 16.4% respectively year on year; The operating profit margin was 4.2%, up 0.4 percentage points year on year, and the profitability improved.

　　 In science and technology, the Association actively explores new models and new paths for industry science and technology and green development, encourages cross industry, cross field and cross discipline cooperation through innovation platforms at all levels, and speeds up the transformation and application of textile scientific and technological achievements; Participate in the research on the topic of "Research on Biomedical Fiber Products and Industrial Development Strategy" of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and accelerate the formation of a path plan with strategic, forward-looking and guiding significance for industrial development; Continue to promote the construction of enterprise innovation platform, promote the cooperation of production, learning, research and application in the subdivided fields, and improve the product development capability of enterprises. 　　 In terms of scientific and technological innovation, high-end technology is still highly dependent on imports, domestic enterprises have insufficient R&D investment, and there are still "involution" and homogeneous low price competition. Compared with developed countries, the overall R&D funds of domestic enterprises account for a small proportion, which makes it difficult for the industry to carry out large-scale and long-term scientific research projects. There is also a lack of national comprehensive innovation platform in the field of industrial textiles, and the development process of new technologies and new products is slow in the stage of small and medium-sized trials. For example, smart textiles and other fields have not yet preempted the first mover advantage.

　　 In terms of green development, with the enhancement of global environmental awareness, the voice of domestic and foreign enterprises pursuing green development is growing. Internationally, the green trade barriers set up by developed countries have also hindered the export of China's industrial textiles to some extent. For example, the European Union's REACH regulations and other strict chemical regulatory standards, China's green development of industrial textiles has not formed a system advantage, and the voice in the international industry chain is insufficient.
